Plan/programa general de curso
This is an intermediate Spanish course with a communicative approach that stresses the four basic language modes: listening (escuchar), speaking (hablar), reading (leer) and writing (escribir). Throughout this course, students will be able to express their own ideas meaningfully in oral and written forms, and interact with others for real life communicative purposes. That is, emphasis is placed on learning the language taking in to account its real life functions. For this reason, both the vocabulary and grammar are practiced as appropriate and effective tools for communication. Since language and culture go hand in hand, this course also places an active and constant emphasis on Hispanic cultures. The students are encouraged to create and expand their knowledge of the language and culture at their own speed.
